BEING NICE IS THE BEST THING TO BE
Throughout life I have come across many hurdles in differing of opinions and clashes of personality, especially since I started up my Self Employed Business in 2012
FIRST OFF.......
I would like to say that I am NOT better then anyone else, I'm not perfect, I make mistakes but I hope that I learn from them
I have always been a bit of a soft touch, hoping that everyone I meet will like me........ I have even in the past gone out of my way to try and keep everyone I meet happy......... what a tough lesson it is to learn that no matter what you do, not everyone will like you no matter how hard you try
YOU HAVE TO BE THICK SKINNED IN LIFE
I am still learning this, but getting there I am happy to say, slowly but surely
The reason I decided to write this blog came about after watching a documentary last night called 'When Corden Met Barlow' I didn't realise until watching this documentary just how much Gary Barlow (Lead Singer of Take That) has been through in his life. People tried to bring him down publicly simply because they didn't like him :-/ why I have no idea, he comes across to me as a people person, perhaps that was the problem for some, they saw him as a threat??????
WHILE RUNNING MY BUSINESS
I have always been a person that likes to help and befriend people I meet, I have been way to trusting and never thought people would dislike me, why would they when I am not intending to hurt anyone?????
Well I have had people I thought were friends fall out with me, especially within the business world with no explanation..........And yes I admit every knock back has affected me and slowly I have lost confidence in what I do in my business and judged myself more as a person.
Don't get me wrong............... I have still battled on, but unknowingly I have been losing the confidence in what I create in my business, finding myself constantly criticizing everything I make (I wasn't like this when I started my business, when it came to my work I was pretty confident and enjoyed what I did)
I AM NOT BETTER THEN YOU AND YOU ARE NOT BETTER THEN ME
We ALL have talents (some of them hidden, waiting for the day to introduce themselves to you) whether that be an artistic flair, photography, leading other people, being an approachable person that people are happy to go too, saving people lives even and more......
WE ARE ALL AMAZING PEOPLE in our own right and need to love who we are. I woke up to this realisation last night after watching 'When Corden Met Barlow' Gary Barlow gave up for a while as the pressure from everyone in the press became to much for him. BUT after a few years he picked himself up and fought on with who his is and is now a big success singing and writing songs for others, he has also supported our troops in Afghanistan which is amazing and very supportive for those that risk their lives for us all to be kept safe
THE MOTO TO THIS BLOG
I am now going to wipe off the invisible worries and lack of self confidence in what I do and start realising that those that don't want to know me, or put me down behind my back, are not the people I would want in my life anyway
PEOPLE WHO MATTER
Those that matter are those that appreciate you for you and don't want to change you, I am also lucky to have this too and you will too :-)
DON'T GIVE UP
I am hoping this blog will go out to you if you are running a business and even if you are not, to let you know you are not alone. If you are thinking about giving up because you have lost confidence, please don't, find that inner spark again and battle on
YOU ARE AMAZING & UNIQUE
We are all amazing people and have so much to give, no two of us are the same we are all unique and all have something to give in life
